Holy mother of Gouda. I miss Monster Rancher. When I was a kid, I spent hours switching CD’s on our PS1 just to see what kind of monsters I can get. And I listed them down hahaha.
The awesomest memory I have related to this is when I found a CD of the first Monster Rancher game. On gravel. In the parking lot of a hospital. I swear it’s the most random place you could ever find a super rare video game CD. When I saw it, I gasped and held my breath for a good 10 seconds because I just couldn’t believe it was just lying there, almost as if it was waiting for me to pick it up :)) Then I used that CD to produce a Sueki Suezo (special breed of Suezo that has perfect stats but dies after one day, and one that you can get only with a Monster Rancher CD) on MR2. Oh, good times :’) (nostalgia kicking in)
